Wisteria Brachybotrys ‘Okayama’

Also known as the Silky Wisteria due to its downy leaflets along the main leaf stem, Wisteria brachybotrys ‘Okayama’ is a vigorous twining climber that will soon cover large walls or fences with colour. Once the long, graceful leaves have emerged and clothed the vertical surface in rich green foliage, the beautiful flowers will begin to emerge. The hanging sprays of lilac blooms are up to 15cm (6″) long and are also highly fragrant too, a wonderful sight to behold when seen en masse and a greatly admired plant by anyone who sees it during the summer months.
