Ulmus x hollandica ‘Wredei’ is a cross between Ulmus minor and Ulmus glabra. The result is a deciduous, hardy, medium-sized tree, covered with crinkled edged, bright yellow leaves. The foliage deepens in intensity as the summer progresses, turning a rich-gold during autumn, before falling as winter approaches. This beautiful Golden Elm forms a conical shape with upright branches. It is particularly attractive to moths and butterflies, making a good choice for a wildlife area. Its bright foliage makes this a lovely tree to brighten up a dark or gloomy area in the garden, where it will happily tolerate a lightly shaded spot. Height: 5m (16′). Spread: 1.5m ( 5′).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
