Otherwise known as the Japanese Spirea, this deciduous, upright shrub produces lanceolate leaves. The foliage is bright green, very occasionally splashed with cream and pink. Domed clusters of deep rosy-pink flowers appear in late summer. Spiraea japonica ‘Anthony Waterer’ is easy to grow and wildlife friendly, thriving on most soil types if given a sunny position.
