Rhododendron Ponticum ‘Variegatum’

The dark green leaves of Rhododendron ponticum ‘Variegatum’ are edged with silvery margins. From late May, a profusion of mauve flowers are borne in large clusters. The distinctive leaf markings are more subtle than some variegated varieties, blending effortlessly into borders and making a fine backdrop for other plants. This hardy evergreen Rhododendron is ideal for brightening a shaded acid border. Height and spread: 150cm (59″).
