Parrotia Persica ‘Persian Spire’

Prized for their exceptional coloured foliage, Persian Ironwoods are generally too large for the average garden. Parrotia persica ‘Persian Spire’ changes all that, with a neat columnar habit that is dwarf enough to be grown in a large patio pot! Young foliage emerges rich purple and gradually matures to bright green with a dark burgundy margin. As autumn progresses, the leaves turn to glowing shades of red, gold and orange creating an unmissable focal point in the garden. This dwarf variety makes a spectacular specimen tree for smaller gardens and narrow borders. Height: 3m (10’). Spread: 1m (3’).
