Liriodendron tulipifera ‘Aureomarginatum’ boasts unusual shaped foliage with distinctive golden margins in spring. As summer progresses the variegation recedes, with the foliage becoming greenish-yellow before turning to fabulous shades of buttery gold in autumn. Liriodendron tulipifera ‘Aureomarginatum’ is often slow to flower, taking up to 10 years – but with maturity it bears large, tulip-shaped flowers in midsummer, from which it gets its common name of Tulip Tree. This is an impressive deciduous tree with a large pyramid-shaped crown. It makes a fine specimen tree for large gardens, parklands and open spaces. Height: 17m (55’). Spread: 12m (39’).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
