A majestic and well known variety that is prized for its breathtaking autumn display. Star-shaped, bright green leaves turn to purple, and finally scarlet and orange in autumn. This deciduous tree has deeply fissured bark which creates an attractive winter silhouette. Over time, Liquidambar styraciflua ‘Worplesdon’ forms a large tree with a broad, spreading crown. It is unsuitable for small gardens, but if you have the space then this tree certainly will create a magnificent centrepiece. Height: 25m (80’). Spread: 12m (40’).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
