This showy Pheasant Berry bears a profusion of pendulous blooms that drip from the branch tips from June right through to September. The white flowers emerge from burgundy bracts creating a truly opulent display. Later in the season, the flowers are replaced by juicy purple berries that are loved by birds. Leycesteria formosa ‘Purple Rain’ has an upright habit with gently arching stem tips that forms a most attractive shrub. This handsome deciduous shrub is ideal for wildlife areas, woodland edges, cottage gardens, and even looks at home among exotic planting schemes. Height and Spread: 2m (6.5′).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
