A most unusual grafted hybrid of Chamaecytisus purpureus and Laburnum anagyroides. This spreading, deciduous tree, boasts an airy canopy of dark green palmate leaves. The pea like flowers are of 3 colours – each colour being borne on a separate raceme during May and June. The yellow and purple flowers match their parents, the remaining colour is a purple-pink flushed yellow. Laburnocytisus ‘Adamii’ is fully hardy, and happy in most well drained soils making a fine specimen tree. Height: 8m (25′). Spread: 6m (20′).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
