Gaillardia Aristata African Sunset

Bathe in the sunset hues of this unstoppable Gaillardia from late spring until autumn. With its exceptionally long flowering season, ‘African Sunset’ will illuminate containers and border edges with brilliant, golden, daisy-like flowers, flushed with warm amber and carmine.

Gaillardia are such stalwart performers and ‘African Sunset’ is no exception. It requires very little attention, forming neat, compact mounds with a strong upright habit. Drought and heat tolerant, it thrives in poor, dry soils providing it has full sun. The grey green foliage is quickly smothered in blooms which are highly attractive to pollinating blooms. Their sturdy stems make them excellent vase specimens. Height 40cm (16”). Spread: 50cm (20”).
