Cytisus Battandieri

Hardy, vigorous, upright, deciduous tree/large shrub which spreads with age. Silvery grey leaves to 10cm (4″) long. Dense, upright, terminal racemes to 15cm (6″) long, yellow flowers have a pineapple scent and produced June to August. A profusion of seed pods follow. Prefers an acidic soil as may show chlorosis in shallow chalky soils, but any reasonably fertile soil in a sunny situation will suffice. Height: 5m (15’). Spread: 5m (15’).
