Cornus Officinalis

A vigorous deciduous shrub, Cornus officinalis, bears delicate clusters of bright yellow flowers on bare stems in late Winter and early Spring to add a touch of warm and cheerful colour when it’s most need in the garden. These blooms will turn into bright red berries as the seasons progress. The Japanese Cornelian Cherry also has interesting rich brown bark which flakes during the Winter after the leaves have turned from green to reds and purples during Autumn. Height: 8m (26′).
