Introduced as an improved early flowering form of dogwood, boasting masses of large, creamy-white flower bracts in late spring. Brightly coloured, strawberry-like fruits follow the flowers in autumn, together with beautiful shades of red-orange foliage before falling.
For best performance, we recommend planting Cornus kousa var. chinensis ‘China Girl’ in full sun in a large container or in a sunny border – flower impact depends very much on the weather conditions from the previous year; a long hot summer will produce a magnificent array of flowers and a cold, wet summer will result in poorer flower displays.
Height: 7m (23′). Spread: 5m (16.5′).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
