Commonly named the Pagoda Dogwood for its distinctive horizontal, tiered branches which create an airy, layered effect. Cornus alternifolia bears its lightly scented, creamy-white flowers in early summer which are replaced by blue-black berries as the season progresses. By Autumn the foliage takes centre stage turning to vibrant shades of purple and red. This slow growing deciduous tree makes a superb specimen tree or an eye-catching focal point for woodland areas, with a long season of interest. Height and spread: 6m (20’).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
