Clematis ‘The Vagabond’

Alluring dark purple blooms with a red bar through each petal are crowned with a centre of creamy white anthers. This relatively new variety is a natural hybrid of Clematis ‘Red Cardinal’, and equally appealing. Flowering twice in a season, its first flush in early summer is particularly prolific. Clematis ‘The Vagabond’ has a neat habit, remaining compact and manageable – perfect for growing in large containers on the patio. Height: 2m (6′). Spread: 1m (3′). Pruning group: 2.
