Large double apricot flowers cover the spiny stems of Chaenomeles x superba ‘Cameo’ from early spring, attracting pollinating insects to their rich source of nectar. The green fruits that follow, ripen to golden yellow by autumn, and can be used to make jellies and preserves. This showy Flowering Quince has a neat rounded habit that won’t get out of hand. Train it against a wall or grow it as a small shrub in mixed borders. In large areas it can be planted in groups to create dense impenetrable ground cover. Height and spread: 120cm (48″).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
