Chaenomeles ‘Scarlet Storm’

Fully double, bright scarlet blooms make a bold display throughout the spring, providing pollinating insects with a valuable source of early nectar. Chaenomeles ‘Scarlet Storm’ is a showy deciduous shrub with a particularly robust habit. Once established this tough, resilient shrub shows superb tolerance to both heat and drought making it useful as a hedging plant or specimen shrub on dry soils. Unlike many Flowering Quince, this robust shrub produces neither thorns nor fruit so it is particularly easy to prune. Height: 150cm (59″). Spread: 120cm (48″).
