Camellia japonica ‘Reigyoku’ is an unusual variety with variegated, gold and green foliage. This handsome shrub delivers year round colour and structure making a fabulous focal point in the garden. In early spring, it’s single red blooms contrast beautifully with the bright, glossy leaves. This slow growing variety will form a large shrub over the years, filling acid borders with colour on the dullest of days. It makes a particularly fine individual specimen plant for a prominent position in the garden. Height: 4m (13’). Spread: 3m (10’).
Culinary note: The flowers can be used as garnishes but are also dried and then cooked in Asian cuisine. For more details about edible flowers click here.
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
