Berberis Thunbergii ‘Florence’

This striking, columnar shrub will fit into the smallest of borders, providing a bright splash of colour and a strong architectural focal point. The new foliage of Berberis thunbergii ‘Florence’ covers its upright stems with coral pink and orange leaves in spring. The colour deepens throughout the summer months, before colouring red in autumn. Tiny yellow flowers appear from late spring, followed by red berries by late summer. Like all Japanese Barberry plants, this deciduous shrub is hardy, reliable and easy to grow. A superb choice for sunny, mixed borders. Berberis thunbergii ‘Florence’ tolerates pruning well and also makes a neat, bushy hedging plant. Height: 150cm (59″). Spread: 60cm (24″).
