As the name suggests, this attractive Chokeberry is at its best in autumn, turning to smoky shades of red and orange. But Aronia x prunifolia ‘Autumn Magic’ still has plenty to offer through the rest of the year. Clusters of fragrant white flowers are borne in Spring above the waxy green foliage. The blooms are succeeded by round black berries which persist well into winter, attracting hungry birds to the garden. This deciduous shrub has a slow growing habit, and makes a worthy specimen shrub for large borders, wildlife gardens and woodland areas, adding plenty of seasonal interest. Height: 150cm (59″). Spread: 200cm (118″).
Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. For more details about edible flowers click here.
