A hardy, deciduous, stately tree with palmate leaves which open bronze turning to dark green and then to yellow in autumn. Aesculus parviflora is a member of the horse chestnut family but much more dwarf in habit. Erect spidery white flowers with prominent stamens in conical panicles up to 30cm (12’’) tall during June and July, followed by smooth skinned fruits. This plant will need space to grow, either in sun or part shade, tolerant of all soils if well drained. Height: 3m(9’). Spread: 5m( 15’).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
